This was a good movie with a great cast. It was however very slow at points. I definitely expected more comedy from this cast, but it was still a good story-line, especially in this political climate. I would not recommend seeing it in theaters, definitely wait for DVD or streaming release.

This is the kind of patriotic film we need now. It does go beyond the curtain to find out what really is to be a veteran. It was the most honest film I've seen about the Vietnam Veterans. The last flag flying is the truth about war and the results of it. You'll laugh and cry at this remarkable film. Four starts because it had some dorky moments but the film needed them to break the icy truth.

heart wrenching mixed with comedy.

Went in hesitant, feeling it was just another anti-military film (and not feeling like a Richard Linklater movie) but I wound up enjoying the cast and the writing.. I hear it's a sequel to The Last Detail which I now want to see. Really great roles for J. Quinton Johnson, Deanna Reed-Foster and especially that wonderful surprise cameo from Cicely Tyson! A good reminder on Veteran's Day.
