Great movie albeit a little disturbing in some parts. The plot is a bit recycled.

It was a good thriller in the sense that it takes you along for a ride and you don't know what to expect next. It has a poor plot beacause you don't know what to expect next, what's happening, and leaves so many things unexplained.

There were stunning visuals and it was an original story. Well thought out and interesting. Great acting and script. I would have given it more stars if it hadn't been for the incest and pedophile aspect of it. One scene went too far and could have easily been insinuated instead of drawn out the way it was. Decent movie, would have been 4 stars if it didn't have that one traumatizing scene in it.

The movie was a bit too long in my opinion (2.5 hours). Overall it was a pretty good film and had elements that reminded me of Shutter Island and Crimson Peak. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a must see movie.
