Awesome movie, with good direction and screenplay..

What an inspiring movie! Stories that honor real life events come very few and far between.

The movie is very good, but the tonal shift from when Desmond begins to oppose the orders given to him leading into the hearing and then the subsequent invasion of Okanawa could have been bridged better. The beginning of the film has a good hearty light tone to it, but the majority of the film has a darker, grittier, rough tone to it the gap between the two is very noticeable

What a great movie based on a true story! It was funny, action packed, sad in parts that brought tears to my eyes. I see Academy Awards for this movie.
