It was a well done movie with excellent acting and beautiful shots. But it was not enjoyable. It seemed to drag on. The big long wait for the return of Ferrero was not as satisfying as it should have been. It seems like something that may get Oscar nominations for performances but it is not something I would want to watch again or suggest to anyone I know.

I enjoyed it but was a little long

I thought it was just so slow and the synopise of the movie was nothing what i anticipated.

Should have a background synopsis at beginning of film saying what was taking place in Japan during 1600s with other countries trying to influence religion in Japan. Film took too long to develop.
