Epic. Intense. Immersive and Beautifully made.. I wanted stand up, grab a sword, and howl with the pack. This movie needs to be seen in the theater on the biggest screen with thunderous sound. It's a timeless story about a Father betrayed and a son's thirst for revenge. This movie will not be for everyone , but for the ones that have enjoyed Eggers work in the past will ne treated to a brilliant masterpiece of film making.

It’s a really fascinating movie about male hubris! A little strange at times but that’s part of the draw. Great action, strong performances from all its leads, and astonishing visuals.

Insane, epic quest of vikings being awesome. The cinematography is so beautiful and dark, perfectly encapsulating the mood of the film. The actors also gave wonderful performances. Bjork was pretty cool as well. I will never be the same after this.

Its epic cinematograhy takes you in the life of the Viking Prince Amleth. From the betrayal of his kin, to his bloody life as a raider, and to his grizzly path for vengeance. It's visceral as it doesn't shy from the unfiltered violence you'd expect from the time period. From women and children dying, to slain horses being offered-up to Valhalla. Yet, it offers a sense of beauty and innocence with grandiose visuals depicting the Norse mythology influencing the world but makes you question if what you're seeing is real or was simply all in their head as their fates were driven by "the old ways".
