Missed a lot of great parts from the book- professor Gail wasn’t half as nutty and she wasn’t rhyming. The classmate who got bit by snake in beginning- didn’t get to see her begin to turn into snake. Black market dealer where guitar comes from was never mentioned or shown. Seganus and his backpack of food for tributes. Lucy’s rainbow dress was very downplayed, her words and wording were cleaned up - no “love” as she always said.

It was good, provided a decent backstory to how everything with the hunger games came about.

The movie changed little from the book but the amount of singing by Lucy Gray was not as capturing- the impact lessened as the movie progressed. Overall The story was unfolding at a moderate-accelerated pace but the movie itself felt unmatched progressing at a slower pace.
