this movie was eye opening, the life in the midwest no matter the race, it showed that most times its about your surroundings.

Great story of drugs, guns and police corruption.

It's was great!

In the vein of BLOW, a cautionary tale of the drug and gun game. McConaughey continues to shine in challenging roles. Newcomer Richie Merritt, does an excellent job out of the gates. The rest of the film is stacked with great character actors Jennifer Jason Leigh to Bryan Tyree Henry. The camera work was gritty and I loved the use of extreme close-up's. My only complaint would be the runtime. When young Rick finally turns the corner, into drug-dealer, we're more than an hour into the film.
