It was funny, emotional and real. I could see the events happening in real life. I was happy with their friendship but also sad about the way he was treated after she died. Overall, the editing, lighting, acting all came together beautifully. So kudos, to the cast and crew. And oh, Dame Judy Dench is always a delight to watch.

It was a slow start to get into the movie but about 40 minutes in it got very interesting. It was very interesting to see how even back in the 1800’s people of color were treated so badly
