A compelling movie, from start to finish. Viola and Denzel are phenomenal

The first half of the movie was much slower than the second half. This is probably due to the dialog in the first half sounding as if the actors were verbatimly repeating the lines of the play. I would have preferred a more conversational tone.

I'm 26, but I felt it was a good display of how families back in the day delta with life. The morals each parent had was what kept the structure, even if it bent. How many women gave their lives to stick by the side of someone. They were rhem heart of the family. It was good. Deep.

A slow thought provoking film.
