Over the top gory for shock value. The shots of DiCaprio's back (several times) could have been less visual and the audience would have gotten the point. While I know that he would NOT have survived a grizzly attack, there is no need to show his claw marks and injuries to the extent that they were. DiCaprio played a good role, but most of the movie was unbelievable.

It was okay. Just was to long and had no true meaning.

The entire movie was violent and harrowing from beginning to end. I know this was based on a true story, but could all these things actually happen to someone and he still survive? I mean this guy could not catch a break! Really, for me it was too much, too brutal, and too long. I didn't like it that much. I'm not sure I would recommend it.

Great acting by Leo. Movie was way too long and boring at times.
