It was surprisingly surprising. I went into it thinking it was a chick flick. Not super excited but willing to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the fact that I did not know the story before I saw it. It was well done. Good actors. I would have liked to have more exposure to or about the grandfather after he left. Even a mention would have been good.

I thought the movie was very good. Loved the kid that played Jack. I felt he made the movie. It was heart felt, suspenseful. The only thing I don't like about the movie is that I wondered what happened to the man that held them hostage. It was just assumed that he went to jail and convicted.

It was an emotional drama that pulled me in. I felt for the characters & the tragedy that had befallen them. However, I found it strange how William H. Macy's character disappeared from film without explanation.

Enjoy the movie. Moved at a good pace. It was realistic about subjects not often talked about
