Beautiful animation and a unique story. Only complaint is some inconsequential subplots involving the teen protestors and some unnecessary romance.

An imaginative and industrous film with plenty of happy dogs and potentially political undertones. Good soundtrack as well.

Loved the creative use of textures, especially when characters disappeared into clouds of cotton. I also really enjoyed the Oracle Dog and the dog that couldn’t help but gossip. I am not Japanese but it seems like Anderson did a decent job not appropriating. However I did not like that the foreign exchange student character was white. She could have been Asian American. It felt phony to me.
