A mix between the movies "Malibu's Most Wanted and 8 mile", is what comes to mind. However, I feel Patti Cake$ will do well in theaters because people will like her story of overcoming adversity to make her dreams a reality.

I don't love rap, so wasn't a fan. Good acting.

It was good

It was fun and spunky, and the pace was quite good; the lead actress was excellent and so were the supporting cast; my only comment is that I was expecting more of a positive outcome to all of her hard work and trials and tribulations -- but it was still really enjoyable and a good indie film. The music was good and I'm not into rap!
