I am not much of a Viking movie fan but Northman was very enjoyable. Great performances across the board and the costumes were fantastic!

Visually stunning. The music and sounds were amazing and fit perfectly for the time period. With a star studded cast this movie is definitely worth watching.

The Northman doesn't have the most original story or storytelling, but it wears its debt to well-known legends on its sleeve, and besides, sometimes the classics are that for a reason. I do wish I was driven to care a little more about Amleth, but where Eggers shines is the visuals and the action. Between the impeccably framed shots and the date-appropriate properly-weird trip-out sequences sprinkled throughout, this flick is a feast for the eyes. Best not to eat too much, though, lest the properly violent imagery cost you your stomach, as it did at least one Viking his.

Amazing movie going experience. Fantastic visuals, otherwordly performances by the cast and a compelling, classic revenge story made to fit the brutality of life during the age of Vikings and their wonderful mythology. A bit of humor here and there when you least expect it but never takinh away from the storyline itself. Robert Eggers has proven to be a master of his craft once again.
