I truly liked this movie. The shots of the mountain depicting how small the people are in the foreground foretells the sheer magnitude of what the climbers are up against. Although we don't we don't get a lot of time with all the characters, you know most are there for their own reason. The tension builds throughout the movie and I only wanted the best for each of them.

The movie was really good. I enjoyed myself and so did my guest. Was expecting a little more action sequence since it was shown in Imax 3D. Stunning visual effects. Actors did a good job telling the story. Could have been more emotionally captivating. Would have gotten 5 stars but the lack of action and emotional ties the audience didn't receive kept it from that. Would definitely recommend !!!!!

This movie has a great story and fabulous scenery. At times it was hard to tell the characters apart from each other as the weather impacted the view and the accents were often similar (although not a Kiwi accent in the lot. )A bit of realism was lost as the characters often had bare hands and faces without apparent frostbite or sunburn that one gets at altitude.
