This movie showed an event that is not taught in school. The genocide of the Armenian people by the Turks is terrible. This movie will bring a tear to your eyes and maybe make you cry.

I didn't know what to expect for this movie, I had the impression it was going to be more of a "chick flick". But for me it turned out to be an education on a piece of World War I that I was unfamiliar with. And enough romance to pull at the heart strings and keep this mushy gal interested. Just a little hokey dialog at times that people laugh at odd times.

Love triangle period pieces set against the backdrop of war . It's a brutal war film, but it returns over and over to its ultimately unsatisfying romantic plot. Over nearly two hours, the opulence gives way to looted and burned homes and shops, fatal marches to the Syrian desert and a wrenching struggle to hold on to family and tradition. War may be hell, but luckily, love still conquers all.

It was a great movie with lots of action and drama. It is a history lesson most people don't know about.
