It was beautifully acted and recreated the period. Historically it was enlightening. It provided the feel of the period.At times the cutting was too episodic and occasionally confusing. There were some brilliant scenes, particularly when the Queens met at the cottage and the sheer curtains dividing them eventually allowed a face to face.The drama had moments but lagged. At times it was arduous to view.I'm relived that the beheading was tastefully rendered.I'd rate it 2 1/2

Rather average. Saoirse Ronan carries the film and she's always riveting and interesting to watch. However Margot Robbie is not used to her best ability--doesn't seem like there is much she can do with this character the way the script is written. The film seems slow and plodding, and the male characters are flat, not drawn out to make us want to know more about them.
