I am originally from East TX and I liked the movie a lot ... even though it was filmed in NM the movie captured the look of small West TX towns / people (I had a aunt that lived in the next town over from Archer City - which was mentioned in the movie - and we have visited all the small towns depicted in the movie) ... good movie.Ray Green

The acting was fine. The location shooting helped enhance the gritty realism. Unfortunately, the movie is marred by an "End-justifies-the-mean" attitude where the perpetrator gets away with big bucks, 4 people are dead and children are left without a parent, and there is no guilt or resolution. I guess that's the 21st century morality.
