So I got to see this movie early. Now I absolutely love Stephen King and I love the Long Walk as a novel. This movie did a great job at adapting the overall vibe of the book onto the screen. Hard to make a movie about walking that entertaining but they did a great job. My biggest problem with this movie is that I love the ending of the novel, and this movie completely changed that. It did make the ending of the movie hit different for me since I was shocked by it, and this was still a fantastic ending, but I do prefer the novel ending.

The plot was very short and to the point. It was a thriller for sure. Graphics on kill scenes were detailed.

Fantastically made and terrifically cast, but also very, very bleak. Have your comfort show / film / food ready for when it's over.
