I thought the actors and actress were great, I thought this film had a lot of messages in it like forgiveness and that really brought it home. The captain went from hating the Chief to calling him friend at the end and even protected the chief sacred ground with his very own life. I thought it had an awesome ending!Will pay to see it again.

Excellent! Beautiful cinematography! Amazing performances by Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike. Loved Joe's character transcendence, as well as Mrs. Quaid's. Beautiful film! 5 stars!

Very good example of how we have not learned and human beings continue to hate and show violence to one another. Very violent but had to be tobtry and get the message across.

It was elegiac in mood, beautiful in its methodical episodic pacing of beautiful scenery punctuated by blood and hardship. As with all good "journey" films, its narrative was more psychological and relational than physical, despite the grueling depiction of the physical hardships of life on the frontier. Ultimately, the movie was about transformation & the potential for hostility to evolve trust.
