Great movie. Likely typical of experiences / relationships of many young women in high school and the realizations that occur when you move out of home.

It was a combination of coming of age movie for a young girl and her relationship with her Mom who has a hard time relating to her.Funny yet serious it takes a good look at a mother and daughter relationship and how the young woman tries to make her way to a better way to live and make her Mom proud of her and accepting of her.

Brilliantly written and touched my heart.
