I left the theater with a deeper appreciation for how a difficult childhood can really prepare you for the vagaries of adult life and give you the skills to overcome life's obstacles.

I loved the movie! Heartfelt and touching. Tear jerker for sure!

The talented cast carried this story line especially the child actors who added convincing depth and personality to their individual characters.. The sound track added mood and feeling to the film. The cinematography highlighted attractive areas in Eastern United States. I predict several Oscar nominations for this film..
