Shelter is gripping enough to keep you locked in, even if it never really surprises. Jason Statham does what Jason Statham always does .. stoic, tough, mildly gruff, and completely familiar. There’s nothing new here performance wise, but the pacing is tight, the tension works, and the stakes are just high enough to stay invested. It may not reinvent the wheel, but as a solid, entertaining thriller
