nice job

At turns darkly funny, deeply unsettling and utterly bizarre, this satire of the clichéd "coming to Hollywood" story is undoubtedly a Nicholas Winding Refn film through and through. Ultimately though, I'm still not really sure whether I liked it- I need to think about it some more and maybe even see it another time. Also worth noting that the score was outstanding.

A very weird movie that goes a little too much for shock value in its final act, but about a great movie about how beauty can consume someone.

Visceral, powerful cinematic experience. Pure abstract imagery and sound. Beautiful to look at and highly disturbing. Strong performances.
