Super loved it. Would have gone to the theater for it as well. Even though I am a fan of Eddie Huang, in my honest & humble opinion, probably he needs to learn a lot about directing a movie. This story is so compelling and true factcheck on reality and so much critical for this age of BLM & StopAsianHate. Soundtracks are powerful but seems like could have used in a better way like any other mainstream sports drama movies impeding the immense potential this story have.\r\rWe need more movies like these. Period.

Boyfriend thought it was a good representation of the struggle for Chinese Americans to be more than Beef and Broccoli -that Chinese Americans can be something more like a future basketball star. He would rate it 5 stars.\r\rAs an ABC woman who doesn't care for mainstream sports, it didn't resonate as strongly as for my boyfriend but I still enjoy the mic drops of wisdom, the metaphors and allusions to Chinese sayings that I've heard growing up. Didn't care for the scene when Boogie first hit on Eleanor at the gym at all. But he matured over time!

This is a really fine film--and it is important in relation to the problems in this country now. \rThe acting is incredible and the protagonists are presented very well.\rThe story is a great exploration of relationships and mixed feelings. The action is tough but gentle.\rThe film made me think about a lot of my own conflicts
