I had very high expectations because (a) Maniscalco has such stage presence as a comic and (b) David Rasche, DeNiro and Kim Cattrall are in the film. But Paul Reiser's 2005\rfilm, The Thing About my Folks, is much better -- also written/produced by a comedian about his elderly parents. AMF was charming but lacked substance and originality. Leslie BIbb, however, was excellent.

Happily ever after storyline that isn't especially funny for a film categorized as a comedy.\rMore like an old school television movie than a big screen film.

Love Rober de Niro but acting seemed forced.

It wasn't as funny as Dirty Grandpa or any of the Fokkers. Too much narration trying to be like Christmas story.
