A sequel that didn't need to be made with no actual villain somehow manages to be one of the best movies of the year. An honorable sequel to an 80s popcorn flick, the story explores the theme of purpose and brotherhood while addressing the ever present worry of being outdated. A commentary on itself in a sense, the movie proves its relevance and reminds us that we are never too old to fly.

Top Gun: Maverick is a heartfelt film, which will please fans of the original. It improves on the original with dazzling action sequences and good character development. Tom Cruise steals the film and shows why he is still Hollywood's best action hero, even as he approaches his golden years. Definitely one of the best films of the year so far.

It was a preatty good movie if you havent seen the first one, like myself. Had a lot of funny moments and a lot of fighting for the sake of the mission dialogue. Its a nice movie if you like Tom Cruise and the movies hes always in, if not then you might like fighter jets along with small dips of actions that might make you fall off your seat. All over the movie was a decent 8/10. Would recommend.

I found it to be very entertaining. It had all the right nostalgic notes as well… Streetbike riding fighter jets romance in men with their shirts off just like the first movie.
