A compelling portrait of Ray Kroc, who basically recognized a great idea and stole it out from under the McDonald brothers. Michael Keaton does a great job, but Kroc is not terribly likeable. The movie provides a context to how the franchise empire got started--it wasn't really about hamburgers or efficiency producing fast food (revolutionary at the onset) but acquiring real estate.

So you want to hate McDonald's further, go see this film. Michael Keaton knows how to play a scum bag.

Surprised at the true story. Think it might do well on Netflix -better than on the large screen. Went into movie thinking that it might be a story of the American Dream -if you work hard -you too can succeed. It was not.
