It was great to see a movie that takes place in the 60's and show the Black Experience from a point of view that doesn't focus on racism. It was good to see two people who had burgeoning careers and how things change. It was good to see a love story that shows what it is like to sacrifice and what makes it worth the sacrifice. This was a very uplifting and inspiring love story.

It was a great story of a love that is timeless. It is also the story of a woman who is destined to have it all at a time when such thoughts would have been considered extraordinary. \r\rA beautiful movie.

I don't normally love movies where a major romantic conflict revolves around one character breaking up with the other "for their own good", but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the main characters come in and out of each other's lives.
