This was an excellent story which made us, as hearing people understand how it must feel to lose the ability to hear, and as humans, to consider how we each handle loss in our lives. It was beautifully told and sincerely rendered. It will not be forgotten.

I really liked it more than I thought. I didn't know what to expect, but it kept me engaged to the very end. I thought it was so well done and it evoked so many emotions in the observer. Ruben's emotions came alive and I could feel them. Each character was wonderful and played such an integral and valuable part of the film. For example, the head of the 'deafness program' really liked Ruben and wanted him to work with him. However, he had to let him go after the surgery because it went against his principles and those of his program. I thoroughly enjoyed this film from the beginning to the end!

I think hearing loss happens far more than we know. \rPart of any loss is denial and grieving. It was interesting to join this young musician in his journey, his giving up everything only to find acceptance. \r
