Excellent character piece with fantastic, realistic writing. Deals with important and heavy issues in a solid way that never feels heavy handed. A triumph for Bettany and the entire cast along with writer/director Alan Ball. A must watch and a must share.

I love the directors work. Here again we have a director/writer piece. These are usually the best. He writes from a personal perspective. You can tell he KNOWS this story. I liked the experience of watching this before the general public. I enjoyed the experience immensly. Huge movie fan. BIG fan of American Beauty. Glad to see his work is not diminishing.

Very sensitive and honest story telling centered at a difficult southern state location. The juxtaposition of conservative Saudi vs conservative southern USA was telling.

I thought this was a very good movie, wish it continued on a little longer. I grew up in the 60s / 70s & this brought back memories of how things were back then.
