It was a lot less suspenseful and interesting than the trailer would lead you to believe. I found parts of the movie were underdeveloped - perhaps because of length - and it could be confusing at times. I was pretty disappointed and wouldn't recommend it.

Red Sparrow reminded me a lot of Atomic Blond. With less action. The story didn't intreague me it was just about ok. It looked like everyone put there trust in Dominika the character played by Jennifer Lawrence. At some points where you expected to see something it wasn't shown for example the skin grafting seen was not shown but the leg operation was shown.The twist in the end was really nice..

The casting ruined the entire film for me. I could live with Jennifer being a Russian ... but the entire main cast excluding maybe one actor was American/British. And the Handsome American was an Australian! Perhaps they should have cast lesser known actors to make it more believable. I get that they want to appeal to an American audience ... but really, it failed.
