Way too much “intelligent “ talking and nothing happening!

I thought the direction and overall tone was very anxiety inducing. There were lots of elements of internalized misogyny and toxic masculinity. All the substance use was overwhelming and the lead character never actually seeks help for her addiction with is unsettling. I felt the topic of sexual assault was handled from a rape apologist stand point leaving the audience with no actual resolution.

I love Luca Guadagnino and nearly all the talent involved, but this felt like a first draft script that needed more humanity and personality to fully engage me.
