I think the movie was visually appealing, really capturing the times, except that everything looked a little too clean and sterile. I also didn't like that the film seemed to concentrate more on the bad times in Elvis's life and didn't show the times when he actually enjoyed his fame. I think a real Elvis fan will like the movie, but it was a little slow and sad, felt like a long funeral.

I thought it could be an hour shorter. It was way too long

The film seemed more like a two and a half hour long montage of clips and music while hearing Tom Hank's monologue for the majority of the film. It was a bit too long for run time. What stood out was the performance from both Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. Despite lack of writing quality and editing, Butler really dwelled into the character especially during singing and dancing.

First 3 acts were absolute garbage and not a movie. The 4th act was amazing. \r\rTom hanks gives a career worst performance. \r\rAustin Butler was nearly flawless as Elvis. Just blew me away as a huge Elvis fan. \r\rObviously the movie was largely inaccurate which is expected. But the dramatic shifts in make up from one angle to another were comically jarring.
