Funny and poignant. Enlightening. It is sad to see that those refugees and asylum applicants only learn about the good things of USA. Sets people up to be disappointed at times. Certainly better here than being killed, starved, enslaved or tortured. \r\rGreat movie fir this time period.

An interesting study of the immigration process and its difficulties. You could almost feel the pain, loneliness and despair of the characters.I think it was actually more of a dark drama than a comedy, although it did have a few comedic moments. The film felt authentic and showed some interesting landscapes of the Scottish island it was filmed on. It had a bit of a disappointing ending. I feel the viewers were also left in limbo at the end, as we never found out what happened to the main character.
