Thought Austin did a good job bringing elvis to life...but did not care for how they narrated the film

I really enjoyed it! It was super fun and engaging. Excellent characters and a great story. There was no plot though. There were themes that were introduced such as degradation and Elvis in captivity but the themes were never explored. It was a campy sensationalist melodrama with an incredible story and no plot. Over all I enjoyed it despite its flaws.

This was an interesting movie that tried to tell the story of the driven but misused Elvis through the eyes of an obviously scheming Colonel Parker. Austin Butler did an outstanding job as Elvis, Tom's Hanks did what he could with a very challenging role. I gave this three stars because it left too much out that would have benefited the story. Still, it is worth a watch, good but not great.

I loved watching Austin Butler bring Elvis ‘back to life’. His performance was phenomenal and was so fun to watch. I think the movie was cut weird and they threw in random rap music. They tried too hard to make Elvis seem more of an activist than he probably was, the MLK line was bad.Tom hanks was really weird but i hated his character the whole time. Overall its too long and a one and done movie
