Amazingly poignant depiction of the desolation of loss, the depths of its despair, the lengths we will go to hold the world at arms length, and despite a world of beauty the human connections necessary for tethering us to learning the will to survive. \r\rI wish that in the last scene, that the film cut to black when when Annie says "Emma its me" rather than including Emma's reply

LAND was beautifully shot and edited. It was a bold cinematic directorial debut. The role was so intense and Wright was able to capture the raw emotion of a wife and mother who suffered an incredible loss. Bichir's acting was organic...strong yet with a gentle undertone. I was not expecting the ending, but it's a moment of forgiveness and healing for both characters. It was a powerful message for anyone who has dealt with loss, and struggle to move forward in life. \r\rBravo.
