A good movie but not exceptional. It was entertaining. Some of the shots look more like you were looking at models and sets than at the real thing. Overall, I would recommend it for mountain climbers and adventurers. They did a good job of developing a realistic portrayal of the relationship with the climbers and their wives in a limited amount of time.

It was very intense and emotional. With watching it in 3D IMAX I felt like I was there. I knew the ending going in because it is based on a real story. I still kept hoping for a better ending.

I read the book, saw the IMAX documentary and now the dramatization of the book. All good and each slightly different. This brings home the raw nature of high risk activities. Many things went wrong. Some things could have turned out better if a few of them had gone in favor of the climbers.

It was more entertaining than I expected it to be. I enjoyed it.
