the music/song choices are perfect - this movie deserved to be watched in a packed theater. emerald fennell + carey mulligan..amazing.

I knew I was in for something extraordinary based on the trailers alone that I remember actually seeing in theaters over a year ago. Totally blew all my expectations out of the water. Emerald Fennell and Carey Mulligan....Wow. Obviously I didn't see many new movies in 2020 but I know for sure this was one of the best of the year.

Absolute masterpiece! I'm genuinely speechless and in awe of this film. From the pitch-perfect script, effervescent cinematography, and truly supreme performance from Carey to the inspired makeup and hairstyling coupled with costuming that I'm living for, this film is everything I didn't know I needed and now I will hold other movies up to its standards. \r\rTruly thriving post-movie watching.

The film is meticulously constructed and strikingly executed, I found it hard to pull your eyes away from the screen for even a second. Although the film's clear messages about the toxic status and ramifications of rape culture are clearly and effectively immense, I personally felt that the exposition of the men Cassie tricks towards the beginning of the film might potentially isolate male viewers of the film. Nevertheless, the centering of the film on Cassie and her characterization as an anti-hero makes the film more powerful and fun to devour.
