It captures the enchanting latino world and it is the perfect movie adaptation of a musical! As a theatre kid and a latina, I enjoyed this movie and it's casting\rGreat job! New favorite movie, can't wait to see it again

I had high hopes for this film, and thankfully it lived up to all of them. Chu managed to capture not only the energy and passion found in the stage version, but also the feel of the summertime heat in the barrio. The cast was amazing, though the weakest link was the actress who played Vanessa. She was good, but everyone else was so much better. In the Heights is still such a timely story.

Amazing!!! You will go through a roller coaster of emotions and you will see yourself reflected and represented during the whole movie. Another big hit from Lin Manuel. I love it!!!

This adaptation of the incredible, incomparable musical was perfection. Even with slight variations in characters, lyrics, songs, and plot, they made the story more rich and so beautiful. The cast’s performances were technically beautiful and full of heart. I was so emotional throughout as I’m a huge fan of the original stage production and all connected to it. Loved how NYC was featured.
