I found it to be a real eye opener which could easily spark debate on multiple social, ethical, racial, political, and moral issues. The father, played byMathew McConaughey, did his best to keep his family together, under such pathetic conditions, but taught his son lessons that would actually contribute to his son's delinquency. Such a waste of a young man's life. The FBI used him as a pawn to get the guys they were after, knowing that Ricky would end up spending his life in prison!

Entertaining, great performances

This movie was devastating, 100% worth watching.. It makes you really see the unjust.

Really well constructed, superbly acted study of a modern gangster - 15 years of age! And it's all true!
