The Timing is BAD, it's the sad. Holidays.Vaccines are still several months out. And we are thinking about what's up in the sky also Global Warming etc. Need more Comedy and Dogs Playing Poker!

It's a fun popcorn movie, but as with most disaster movies, it's jokingly implausible. The writer should probably read up on extinction level events to get a better understanding of just how they work. The only way I was going to be surprised by this movie was if the characters met the fate that they actually would have under any such circumstances, but it detracts from the sense of jeopardy when you have no doubt the family, despite all odds, will not only be reunited, but make it to the promise land — just in the nick of time! I thought for a moment that it was going to end on the fade to black, allowing for the (realistic) possibility that they didn't survive (as hinted at by their life flashing before their eyes)... no, we got to see them all standing in front of a green screen desolate landscape, knowing that everything was going to be A-O-K because, look — birds! Have fun, just don't forget to check your brain at the door...

Though it may not be anything too significant in its visual effects, Greenland creates the disaster film of 2020 with booming bass, great acting, and good directing, cinematography and writing that is enough to tell its story as necessary. Actively engaging and overall intense - Greenland is definitely a film worth watching to those interested!

Well it was a fairly predictable disaster movie (the couple on the outs, the diabetic child, the traffic jams and general mayhem), but that's kind of what one would expect from a disaster movie! So we enjoyed ourselves - thanks for inviting us to the screening!
