Amazing images (the visual team should get a oscar for the animations alone.), top-notch performances, and a fairly well executed though mostly predictable plot. I had to take points off for a bit of meandering in the middle, Sigourney Weaver's English accent, and a pretty but unnecessary epilogue.

WOW! Very dark story but reminded me of the film FINDING NEVERLAND which also ended with the Mother dying. The kid finding the Mom's art book at the end helped soften the harsh storyline, but I don't think I would take a kid younger than a teen to see this. Even as an adult the repeated bullying and anger-violence was a lot. Not sure what the lesson the filmmaker is trying to teach? Good luck

Too intense for young children and not sure they would understand. The special effects were wonderful and I give that 5 stars.

A clever story about dealing with a difficult subject.
