It was great, although I felt like it was missing a bit of the psychedelic intensity of his other movies. I thought the first half was a bit stronger than the second half in terms of it feeling more like an Eggers film but I did find the world compelling and immersive. I wish it had leaned into the supernatural horror aspect just a little bit more.

It’s good. People should watch it.

I entered this movie totally blind and while not my cup of tea entirely, it was well made. The gore and disturbing imagery at points were too much for me, particularly near the opening where I got too squeamish and had to leave the theatre.\r\rThe movie definitely improved as it went along though and I’m glad I stuck with it - cast was solid but the real star was the directing and visuals and by the end I was surprised by how much I was engaged in the final showdown.\r\rI’ve already started to recommend to some friends with the caveat that they can handle lots of gore

Scenery and battle scenes are superb.
