I consider myself a person who understands the nuances of disability Justice and as a person who is conversational in ASL, am familiar with the issues in the Deaf community. This film is remarkable in how it handles the cochlear implant vs. Deaf identity issues, highlighting the Deaf community- with clearly many native signers. So it nails it philosophically. Also, it is a quiet and thoughtful film that kept me intrigued and curious throughout. Very good. I'll be delighted to tell my disability advocacy community about it.
