Well acted and beautiful scenery. It was more violent than I anticipated which I didn't enjoy. It was hard to follow the story line but overall I am glad I saw it. Ronan was great as always, but overall a good not great film.

My son was stabbed in 2014 at school, so the stabbing scene was hard to take. I just thought the storyline was a little cliché. I knew the queens would have a big argument, it was just a countdown to the end of the movie. The costumes and scenery were beautiful.

Towards the beginning of the movie, there was so much story build-up. With how much it was building, I expected the run-time to be similar to a 3-hour movie. By the time Mary met Elizabeth, we were already over an hour of screen time. With how much build up there was, I expected more out of their interaction. I felt like after their meeting scene, the movie finished without giving any details whatsoever. One moment they were angry with each other, and then the next thing you know, 25 years have passed and now it’s ending. It felt abrupt by the end.
