Overall we enjoyed the movie! We felt like we could relate to the subject given my sister & I grew up in Chicago in the 60's & 70's. Many of the male actors seemed to be on track with the regional ways. We had 2 challenges with the movie, 1. Josie Comer did not have a Chicago accent, given she was the narrator in the movie, that took away from an essential Chicago tone. She had more of a Minnesota slang. 2. The setting, we wondered how much was filmed in Chicago?

They should had more African Americans in the story.

It was a strange movie, like a long, slow burn, but the acting was impeccable. And what a surprising all-star cast! We laughed on our way out, discussing who sat down one day and said “I have a great idea for a movie” but, for the most part, it worked.
