I went into this movie not knowing much about it, except the 2 leads & that it was based on an award-winning play. It definitely comes across as a play adapted for the screen; a bit of a slow start, but the performances were fantastic! There were audible gasps at some of the scenes from the audience at my preview screening, everyone was clearly invested in this story. Packs an emotional wallop.

Movie was a great mix of brilliant performances and a story that covered various subjects presented powerfully.

Great movie

The movies very realistic. This is one of Denzel's best work. Actress Viola Davis was amazing in this film. This movie makes you laugh and cry throughout the film. My husband and I enjoyed it very much.
