It was a little cheesy, but am not sure what I expected. the story kinda bounced around to too many different dynamics going on and not enough story to go around.

entertaining but dumb (and not very scientifically accurate)

The movie was bogged down with too many extraneous subplots, which really spoil the rhythm of the main plot. For example, too much time was spent on Dr. Houseman's relationship with his mother; on Jo Fowler's failed marriage and their son; and on Brian Harper's estranged son and the son's delinquencies. The excitement of the main plot was tarnished by those soapy melodramas.
