Very moving. A tribute to the deaf community and to those struggling with addiction. This film teaches several lessons about a society few know much about.

The subtlety of the storytelling, keeping focused on the characters and their situations. The sound design and use of titles to give a hearing audience a sense of experiencing hearing loss was very affective to put us in Ruben's place as much as possible. Interesting to not deal with the prejudice Deaf folks deal with in a hearing world but I realize that wasn't necessarily the story that was being told. Terrific cast, beautifully played

Starts with a muted natural performance by the leads. The story proceeds slowly taking a dramatic turn as the lead shows his vulnerability due to new challenge.\rThe movement of the story weaves effortlessly and kept me engaged.
